There is a high chance you’re not completely satisfied with the world as it is today. (If you are satisfied with the world today then #youretheproblem.)
Perhaps your New Year’s Resolution was to “be the change you wish to see the world”, and now you’re realizing that it’s quite difficult. Because it requires action but it also (counterintuitively) requires waiting.
“But the ice caps!” you retort defensively.
Well, yes. But life rhythm’s naturally take an action-rest model, and today’s featured artist Dominique Fils-Aimé talks about what she does while waiting for the world to change in her latest single “While We Wait”.

The track starts out with a carefree 50’s-vibe and a fun, happy-go-lucky vocal arrangement. Dominique’s voice is flexible and light-as-air in this part of the song, yet it has a mellow core that effortlessly cuts through the backup-vocals and grabs our attention.
As the Tonemamas are smiling along while bobbing our heads like it’s a sunny day in Suburbia, the mood suddenly changes drastically. Just like that we move from sunshine to stormy clouds and the clouds are reminding us of the very serious message of the song: change. But it’s not a depressing storm that forces you to flee inside and stare morosely out of the window. It’s a storm that makes you run outside and dance in the thundering rain while Dominique’s voice soars in the chorus belting out, “We can be the change” again and again.
Sunshine, storms and a powerful message to create the changes we wish to see in our world – Dominique Fils-Aimé truly is one of a kind.
